Do you also carry out the building works?
No, we do not undertake any building construction work. We specialize in design services exclusively. However, we can introduce you to vetted contractors we work with and are local to you.

Will you visit my property?
We offer site visit services in London and surrounding areas.

Do you need to site visit my property?
On smaller projects, we can cut costs on site visits by asking your help with around 5 measurements and photos you can easily provide.

Do I need a structural engineer?
The answer is yes if you are considering renovations that will affect the structure of your property in any way. Removing an internal or external wall will always need structural engineering input.

What is the delivery time for a structural report?
We normally issue the report 1 week after our site visit or your instruction.

What is the waiting time for structural engineering services?
The lead time for our standard services is 10 – days after our site visit or your instruction. If you have an emergency, please contact us and we will sort it as soon as possible.

How long does a full structural inspection take?
A structural inspection on a standard residential property takes around 30-60mins.

Is your work covered by insurance?
Yes, all of our structural and civil engineering services are covered by professional indemnity insurance. Confirmation of documents can be provided upon request.

Are you qualified?
Yes, we are UK qualified structural engineers.

How long does a full structural inspection take?
A structural inspection on a standard residential property takes around 30-60mins.

What happens once I have appointed a structural engineer?
We will contact you shortly after and ask for architectural plans for our engineer to be able to advise accordingly if a site visit is needed. We start design phase and deliver within agreed timeframe. The information package created by your architect and structural engineer is then submitted to Building Control for approval. Your project can be put out to tender at this stage. Building work can begin once you have Building Regulations approved and any other approvals, such as those required under the Party Wall Act 1996 etc.
Do you provide planning applications?
We do not provide planning services ourselves but we partner with an architectural consultancy firm. We’ll introduce you to them at the necessary time. These architects will provide all what is required for your plans to get permitted, then we can jump in with all is required.
